Things are starting to clarify in the Eastern Conference. The Cleveland Cavaliers sit atop the standings, the Boston Celtics have moved up, and the Toronto Raptors have been great even if they’ve struggled recently with DeMar DeRozan sidelined.
We can also add the Washington Wizards to the list -- along with the Atlanta Hawks -- of teams who have strengthened their play and will battle for an upper-tier playoff spot come spring.
Washington has a game coming up against the Cavaliers on Monday, a team they’ve only met once this year during a 105-94 loss back on Nov. 11.
Wizards PG John Wall knows it’s a big game, and a win could be the catalyst to Washington galvanizing a Top 3 position in the East.

It might be a stretch to say it’s the biggest regular season game of his career, but if it feels like it’s ranking high in importance for Wall who are we to say it’s not?
Then again, it’s not even the All-Star break yet. Maybe it will be the biggest regular season game of Wall’s career until they play the Cavaliers again on March 22, as both try to lock up final wins to ensure the best seed.
