Lance Stephenson fined $10,000, Roy Hibbert $5,000 for Game 5 flops (VIDEO)

Miami Heat v Indiana Pacers - Game 5

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - MAY 28: Lance Stephenson #1 is helped up by Roy Hibbert #55 of the Indiana Pacers against the Miami Heat during Game Five of the Eastern Conference Finals of the 2014 NBA Playoffs at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on May 28, 2014 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The second Lance Stephenson tried to draw a foul on LeBron James during Game 5 Wednesday with the obvious flop you see above it was just as obvious a fine from the league was coming.

It did on Thursday — $10,000. The league made it official and noted the $10,000 amount was because this was Stephenson’s second called out flop of the Eastern Conference Finals (both on LeBron).

Lance’s flopping just seems an extension of his blowing-in-the-ear, jumping-in-the-Heat’s-huddles style. It’s just Lance being Lance and we all shrug.

Roy Hibbert was fined $5,000 on Thursday for a flop in the same game —Hibbert took a casual elbow in the back from Mario Chalmers and went flying like he was shot out of a cannon.

Give credit to the officials, who didn’t call the foul the Pacers were trying to draw in either case.
