Kevin Love caused a little stir when he chose Russell Westbrook, not Cavaliers teammate LeBron James, as his MVP.

LeBron, who has politicked for himself for the award, said nobody should blame Love for his pick.

Yesterday, LeBron found a fun way to diffuse a situation that had already cooled.

Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com:

It’s funny, you see, because after receiving MVP votes last year, Love is nowhere near this year. He hasn’t established himself on a team with LeBron and Kyrie Irving, and though Love has played well, he has fallen well short of expectations.

At least LeBron is joking with (about?) him now. That’s a big step toward fitting in.
