Manu Ginobili, Spurs tie the knot, officially
The engagement was announced a couple days ago, but last night the San Antonio Spurs and Manu Ginobili officially tied the knot last night. At least or the next three years.
The extension keeps one of the game’s quiet stars -- not to mention the League’s best killer of bats -- in place through what likely will be the end of this Spurs team’s run. Ginobili will be 35 when the deal is up, so it could be his last in the NBA as well, although if you watched him the last few weeks you’d think he could play forever.
CBS’s Ken Berger reports the numbers at 11.8 million in 2010-11, $12.9 million in ’11-12 and $14.1 million in ’12-13. That’s $38.8 million for those of you who don’t want to do the math. He probably can get by on that.
