Real Madrid reunites in Dallas.

Luka Doncic’s Real Madrid teammate Facundo Campazzo has signed in Dallas as a backup big man. Marc Stein has reported for a week this was likely, Shams Charania of The Athletic broke the news and the Mavericks soon made it official.

Campazzo, an Argentinian star, came off the bench for the Nuggets the past two seasons and was generally solid as a reserve, although he struggled with his shot last season (30.1% from 3). He can be a disruptive defender and a decent secondary playmaker, but in Denver Bones Hyland proved a better bench guard and took those minutes.

In Dallas, Campazzo will be behind Doncic and Spencer Dinwiddie, so the minutes will be limited. In that role and for the minimum, this is a solid pick-up.
