The Lakers Steve Blake will be back from his bout with the chicken pox Wednesday night. He’s no longer contagious, but I might put him on Chris Paul for a few possessions anyway.

Rockets players were surprised by the move and stuck up for coach Rick Adelman, who the team let walk.

By the way, I saw a couple places where Rick Adelman’s name got mentioned as a possible replacement for Phil Jackson in Los Angeles. Not going to happen. It’s almost certainly lead assistant Brian Shaw’s job, but if the Buss family decides to go another direction it will not be the older Adelman but to a younger coach and a more running system. Jerry Buss still misses Showtime.

Derrick Rose has some Walter Payton in him.

Isiah Thomas as Richard Nixon. It works.

George Karl wishes Seattle still had a team. We all do.

Clippers big man DeAndre Jordan is going to the mountain top, he’ll work with Hakeem Olajuwon this summer.

Michael Jordan has presidental-like security around him.

Stephon Marbury, doing business in China.

Some end of the year player report cards for the Washington Wizards.
