Referee Scott Forster was on fire last night ejected Noah, Gibson (VIDEO)

Chicago Bulls v Miami Heat - Game Two

MIAMI, FL - MAY 08: Joakim Noah #13 of the Chicago Bulls is ejected after arguing with referee Scott Foster #48 during Game Two of the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the 2013 NBA Playoffs against the Miami Heat at American Airlines Arena on May 8, 2013 in Miami, Florida. The Heat and Bulls were trying to have a playoff game Wednesday night — emotional, physical, chippy with a little trash talk thrown in.

The referees were going to have none of that.

They apparently wanted this played with all the passion of a Tuesday night in late January — they called nine technicals, a boatload of personal fouls, and Scott Foster ejected Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson. As you can see for yourself in the video above.

The referees certainly didn’t decide this game — the Heat were clear and away the more aggressive, dominant team, winning by 37 — but I hope starting Friday night in the United Center they let the guys play hard and show their emotions. Stop trying to put a lid on it and let these teams give us some playoff basketball.
