Derrick Rose – who has been away from the Cavaliers and contemplating retirement in the aftermath of his latest injury – appeared closer to a return.
Here’s another step in that direction.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN:
After a self-imposed exile, guard Derrick Rose flew to Cleveland this morning and plans to report to the Cavaliers practice facility, league sources tell ESPN. He’s expected to meet with front office officials and begin the process of returning to the team.

It’s unclear whether Rose rediscovered his love of basketball or is one of the many who’s going to job he dislikes for the money.
It’s also unclear what Rose role will play on the Cavs. They’ve been much better without him. Jose Calderon has fit better with the starting lineup, and Isaiah Thomas could return soon. Dwyane Wade has taken over the reserve role for which Rose appeared suited.
Rose might soon re-join the team, but that could mean just to sit on the bench.
