Fresh off losing Mario Chalmers for the season (and waiving him), the Grizzlies are hitting the free agent market to find help in the backcourt. Their likely solution is Ray McCallum, who was waived by the Spurs last week in order to sign Andre Miller.

From The Vertical‘s Shams Charania:

Free-agent guard Ray McCallum is traveling Friday morning to Memphis and will likely sign a deal with the Grizzlies, league sources told The Vertical.
In the wake of guard Mario Chalmers’ season-ending injury and subsequent release, the Grizzlies are looking to bolster their guard depth, sources said.

McCallum didn’t play much for the Spurs, averaging just 8.3 minutes per game for San Antonio. But he showed some promise his first two seasons in Sacramento, and at this point, the Grizzlies just need bodies with Mike Conley also out. There’s no downside to taking a flier on him.
