The Utah Jazz have a lot of youth on the wing, but they still want to add one veteran to the mix to balance it out.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the Jazz have interest in bringing back Josh Howard for another season (even though he is looking around and worked out for the Spurs this week).

There’s mutual interest between Howard and Utah. He exceeded expectations during the 2011-12 campaign, is highly respected by management and coach Tyrone Corbin, and Howard spent part of his offseason working out with former Jazz teammates in Santa Barbara, Calif.

But do the Jazz really need him? Gordon Hayward is going to start at the three and behind him the Jazz have Marvin Williams and DeMarre Carroll, plus Jeremy Evans can get minutes there. That’s a lot of depth to go adding another player at that spot.

But for now at least the two sides are talking a little.

Read the entire story, it also has a Raja Bell buyout update (in which there isn’t much to update).
