The Knicks decided to hire Jeff Hornacek.

Now, they’re actually doing it.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports:

Jeff Hornacek has reached agreement on a three-year contract to coach the New York Knicks, league sources told The Vertical.

What more could Hornacek ask for? He has players – including Carmelo Anthony and Jose Calderon – excited for his tenure. He doesn’t have to run the triangle offense. And his contract runs as long as Phil Jackson’s.

They’re still the Knicks, and James Dolan still looms. But this isn’t a bad job at all.
