Report: Knicks trying to trade down from No. 4 pick, move back in lottery
The Knicks, as they do, are making things more complicated than they need to be. Just hours from the draft, rumblings are continuing that Phil Jackson is trying to trade back in the lottery. Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that that’s still his preference.
Knicks keep pursuing deals to move out of No. 4 spot and back in lottery, league sources tell Yahoo.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) June 25, 2015
The Knicks have been linked in recent days to middle-of-the-lottery prospects such as Frank Kaminsky and Justise Winslow, but trading back for one of them just seems unnecessary. The Knicks were a 17-win team last year, They need talent everywhere. Unless you’re absolutely blown away by an offer for the pick, just take the best player available at No. 4 and don’t overthink it. This isn’t that difficult.
