If the Knicks plan to replace interim head coach Kurt Rambis this offseason, they have a funny way of showing it.

Knicks president Phil Jackson reportedly pushed to give Rambis a multi-year contract then went on vacation without showing signs of a full-blown coaching search.

Now, Rambis is representing the team at its next key event.

Ian Begley of ESPN:

Perhaps, Rambis is just fulfilling his duties as acting coach until the Knicks hire someone else. Maybe Jackson plans to hire a new head coach and keep his friend in the organization, either as an assistant coach, scout or executive. Rambis could be at the combine in any of those capacities.

But on the simplest level, this sure looks like another sign the Knicks will keep Rambis.
