Carmelo Anthony said the Knicks should have gotten a Christmas game.

He’s not the only one feeling that way -- at least in hindsight.

Marc Berman of the New York Post:

The Knicks are 14-16, which puts them on pace for their best record in three years. Melo is healthy, and Kristaps Porzingis looks like a budding star.

Why wouldn’t the league regret leaving New York home?

The NBA wants to showcase its biggest markets on its premier regular-season date. If the Knicks project to be reasonably entertaining, they’ll get a Christmas game. It’s not quite tradition anymore, but it’s close.

I bet they’ll be playing a year from now.
