The Thunder have mostly laid low since losing Kevin Durant.

They signed Alex Abrines, but now they’re adding someone with NBA experience -- Ronnie Price.

Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders:

Price is the type of player teams want in their locker room. The type of player teams want on the court? Not quite as much.

Ideally, he’ll be Oklahoma City’s third point guard behind Russell Westbrook and Cameron Payne. The Thunder should commit to playing and developing Payne, a superior -- though less refined -- talent. But Billy Donovan could lean on the veteran Price as he did Randy Foye last season.

Price can still get into opponents defensively in limited minutes at age 33. He’s just an offensive minus -- an enhanced problem on a team short on shot creators beyond Westbrook, whom Price would spell.

A Westbrook trade remains the big question, but Price gives the Thunder 15 players and a coherent roster. This could be the squad they take into the season.
