Stephen Curry active, will play vs. Blazers if warmup goes well
After missing just over two weeks, it appears as though the return of Stephen Curry is imminent. Curry suffered a sprained right MCL on April 24 and missed Game 5 of the Warriors’ first-round series against the Rockets, as well as the first three games of the second-round series against the Blazers. Golden State currently leads Portland 2-1, and head coach Steve Kerr says Curry is prepared to play in tonight’s Game 4, although a final decision won’t be made until after he warms up.
Steve Kerr on Stephen Curry's status for Game 4: "If all goes well with his warmup, he will play tonight."— Joe Freeman (@BlazerFreeman) May 10, 2016
The Undefeated‘s Marc Spears posted a video of Curry warming up before the game:
If Curry plays, it obviously changes the dynamic of the entire series. What remains to be seen, though, is how he looks, and how many minutes Kerr lets him play. It’s important for him to get his legs back underneath him ahead of a Conference Finals matchup with either the Spurs or Thunder, but it would be a huge mistake to overextend him before he’s fully ready.
