Stephen Curry says he’s not the NBA’s best-ever outside shooter – yet, at least

Stephen Curry ranks 50th in all-time 3-pointers made. But he also has a higher 3-point percentage than anyone in the top 140 of total 3s made.

Is that enough to rank Curry, who has made 44% of his 3-pointers and broke his own record for 3-pointers in a season, the best outside shooter of all time?

He says no.

The Warriors star was asked how long someone must play before claiming that title.

Curry, who has played six NBA seasons, on The Dan Patrick Show:

10 years. That’s enough time to, enough body of work, for you to really assess consistency and the sheer repetitions and amount of shots that you’re making. So, I’ve got three more good years left until I think I get into that conversation.

I’m taking Curry right now.

He could still slump in coming years and dip back below Ray Allen and Reggie Miller. But I believe Curry has already done enough to convince his 3-point shooting isn’t a fluke. His ability to shoot off the catch and off the bounce, from a variety of locations, while closely guarded – it’s just unmatched.
