He could have probably gone Wednesday night… but the Spurs were playing the Bobcats. And the Spurs are a cautious bunch with their stars.
But Tim Duncan said he will return to the lineup for the Spurs Saturday when the Wizards come to town, according to Spurs.com.
Duncan has missed four games resting a sore knee, and in that time the Spurs went 4-0. Because they are the Spurs, the “Terminators” of the NBA — they keep coming no matter what. They will not stop. Ever.
Duncan is having his best season in years, averaging 17.5 points per game at 50.5 percent shooting, plus pulling down 9.8 rebounds a game. He seems to be moving better than he has in a while and the result is a more efficient season.
The Spurs are 37-11 and are the top seed in the West at this moment.
