Warriors say Harrison Barnes is “probable” to return Monday vs. Hornets

The Warriors don’t know whether they’ll have Stephen Curry for Monday’s game against the Hornets after the reigning MVP suffered a bruised shin in Saturday’s win over the Nuggets. But they are getting another starter back after missing over a month. The team announced that Harrison Barnes is expected to play after missing the Warriors’ last 16 games with a left ankle sprain.

Via Yahoo’s Marc Spears:

In the Warriors’ first 17 games of the season (all wins), Barnes averaged 13.4 points and 5 rebounds per game. In his absence, the likes of Brandon Rush, Ian Clark and James Michael McAdoo have stepped up in extended minutes and played well. Still, getting Barnes back will be huge for Golden State’s stability on the wing and allow Andre Iguodala to move back into his sixth-man role after starting on Saturday against Denver.
