Jimmer Fredette is back in the NBA with the Phoenix Suns after spending time in China. Fredette last played in the NBA during the 2015-16 season with the New York Knicks.

Fredette never really shook out despite his high draft selection at No. 10 overall in the 2011 NBA Draft. But the Suns decided to add the 30-year-old combo guard to their roster, apparently to the delight of fans of the Utah Jazz.

On Monday as the Jazz took on the Suns in Salt Lake City, Fredette received a standing ovation from the opposing crowd.

Via Twitter:

Fredette was a -25 in the box score, scoring just six points with one rebound, one assist, and one steal to go with two turnovers in 14 minutes of play.

Of course Fredette went to Brigham Young, which is less than an hour away from Salt Lake City, so it makes some sense Jazz fans might be supportive of his return to the league.
