Defensive tackle Cletidus Hunt sustained bruised ribs in Sunday’s game.
No word on his availability for next week.

Packers DT Cletidus Hunt will likely return to their starting lineup tomorrow.
He was benched last week for poor play, although he thought the coaching staff was just resting him.

DT Cletidus Hunt missed practice for a second straight day Thursday, and nobody in the Packers’ organization could explain why.
A Packers spokesman said Thursday afternoon that the team might release a statement on the matter, but it never did. Hunt could not be reached for comment and his agent did not return a phone call.

DT Cletidus Hunt tried out for the Bengals yesterday, along with former Cowboys DT Leonardo Carson.
Hunt was released by the Packers earlier this week.

Packers released DT Cletidus Hunt, RB Walt Williams, FB Vonta Leach, WR Craig Bragg, WR Sam Breeden, WR Jamal Jones, WR Andrae Thurman, TE Sean McHugh, T Brad Bedell, G Joe Hayes, DT James Lee, DE R-Kal Truluck, DE Seante Williams, LB Corey Jenkins, LB Nick McNeil, LB Ray Thompson, CB Chris Day, and CB Leigh Torrence.
We absolutely love Green Bay’s willingness to take out some of the trash from their old defense. Hunt, Truluck, and Thompson weren’t helping much in the present and certainly weren’t helping in the future.

DT Cletidus Hunt may file a grievance against the Packers for releasing him while he was injured.
Hunt reportedly needs rotator cuff surgery. “He wanted to play, but his shoulder wouldn’t let him,” Grady Jackson said. “They think it’s a torn rotator cuff. He’s probably out for the year.”

The Packers have reached an injury settlement with DT Cletidus Hunt (shoulder).
The team released Hunt after he suffered a torn rotator cuff during practice. Hunt had surgery last week and the Packers have agreed to pay him the $1.25 million he was set to earn in base salary this season.

Packers DT Cletidus Hunt continues to skip Green Bay’s voluntary offseason practices.
His attitude and lack of production make him a candidate to be released. At this point, however, it’s difficult for the thin Green Bay defense to lose any more players.

In hopes of jumpstarting a stagnant career, the Packers may move Cletidus Hunt to defensive end.
The tackle has been a huge disappoinment since signing a big deal with the Packers. New coordinator Jim Bates will not be afraid to shake things up on Green Bay’s woeful D.

DT Cletidus Hunt (knee) worked out in pads yesterday for the first time since August 4.
“He’s still struggling with the knee issues,” coach Mike Sherman said. “We’re trying to advance things a little bit because I need to know where we stand. That’s why he was out here today. We knew it was going to be in a limited role.”
