    Eagles signed CB/KR Gerard Lawson.
Lawson played on special teams in 20 games with the Browns from 2008-09. He’ll take Jorrick Calvin’s spot as a reserve corner and kickoff return candidate.

Gerard Lawson, signed just two weeks ago, will serve as the Eagles’ primary kickoff returner this weekend.
Lawson replaces Chad Hall, who managed under 17.0 yards per kick return in Week 16. DeSean Jackson will remain the primary punt returner.

Browns CB Gerard Lawson pleaded no contest Tuesday to DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident stemming from an August 7 incident.
He had three other small charges dropped and was sentenced to a year’s probation. The former undrafted free agent remains on the roster bubble.

Browns waived WR Taurus Johnson, CB Gerard Lawson, and OL John Malecki.
Johnson had only two weeks to impress the coaching staff after being claimed off waivers from Miami, and didn’t. Lawon might have made the roster if not for an offseason arrest. Maleck was an undrafted rookie out of Pitt.

Browns CB Gerard Lawson was arrested Saturday night for DUI and “hit skip” after fleeing the scene of an accident he caused.
Lawson allegedly crashed his car in the warehouse district of Cleveland, was seen by police pulling away and “tried to take off,” but was caught by officers. Mostly a special teamer, Lawson made the Browns’ game-day roster just five times last season. This arrest could easily cost him his job.
  • PHI Defensive Lineman
Eagles waived DT Jeff Owens, CB Gerard Lawson, WR Jeremy Williams, and DT Jeremy Clark.
The latter three were only going to be camp bodies in Philly, so the Eagles are doing them a favor by letting go now. Owens is coming off massive knee operations -- plural. We suspect the former Georgia Bulldog has no future in the NFL.
