The guy who played Michael Oher in the movie about Michael Oher thinks Michael Oher should stop complaining.
According to TMZ, actor Quinton Aaron said he wishes the Panthers left tackle would instead focus on the positive message of the move “The Blind Side,” as opposed to any negative attention it might have brought him.
“You gotta at some point notice the amount of people’s lives this movie has touched in a positive, encouraging and inspiring manner,” Aaron said. “At the end of the day bro you are a millionaire, you’re famous, you are a Super Bowl Champ, you have an amazing family that loves you, friends, fans and teammates. . . . “Who gives a damn about what people say or think who wanna criticize your game bro, that shouldn’t matter. Somebody is always gonna have something to say that you’re not gonna like. . . .
“So what, you had a couple bad seasons, I believe you’ve got a lot more fuel in the tank so let’s start hashing out some good ones and forget what people think about you. I got your back brotha God Bless!”
Aaron has a bit of a point, as Oher shouldn’t hold the movie up as a straw man argument for this own poor play in recent years.
But Oher’s also not just starting to balk at the genesis of his own celebrity. He’s been pushing back since the Ravens were in the Super Bowl, and had already then heard every possible joke and corny headline.
So we get him being tired of it, and he’s not the only one.
