The Jaguars have had to wait a long time to find a game-breaking wide receiver, but they’ve got one now.

Allen Robinson, the second-year receiver from Penn State who’s been playing excellent football this year, went over 1,000 receiving yards on the season today. That makes him the first Jaguar to record a 1,000-yard receiving season since Jimmy Smith in 2005.

The 22-year-old Robinson also caught his ninth touchdown pass of the season today in Tennessee. He’s the youngest player to have 1,000 yards and nine touchdown catches since Randy Moss was a rookie.

Robinson hasn’t been enough for the Jaguars today, however; they trail the Titans 28-19.
