After Saints quarterback Drew Brees missed a game with a shoulder injury and then returned to action for the next game, he immediately exited the injury report the following week. For Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, a similar formula applies.
Luck missed Week Four against the Jaguars and Week Five against the Texans, before playing on Sunday night despite being listed as questionable, with a shoulder injury. Now, three days after playing an entire game, there was no mention of Luck on the injury report.
It means he’s completely healthy, just five days after he was a 50-50 shot at playing. Which is impressive, given that he, you know, played an entire game during that five-day window.
Not practicing for the Colts on Wednesday for injury reasons were safety Mike Adams (hamstring), linebacker Jerrell Freeman (groin), and safety Clayton Geathers (knee). Cornerback Vontae Davis, receiver Andre Johnson, and linebacker Robert Mathis each got the day off.
Brees and the Saints face Luck and the Colts on Sunday. The last time these teams played, before Luck was drafted, the Saints won 62-7.
