Antonio Brown has 180 receiving yards in the first half

Antonio Brown

Steelers receiver Antonio Brown had one of the best halves of football you’ll ever see today against the Raiders.

Brown caught 10 passes for 180 yards in the first half, helping Pittsburgh take a 21-14 lead over Oakland.

Brown’s half isn’t an NFL record: Hall of Famer Steve Largent had 224 receiving yards in the first half of a game in 1987, when he crossed the NFL Players Association’s picket line and dominated a game played mostly by replacement players, and Lee Evans and Kevin Curtis each had 205-yard halves. But Brown does have a real shot at Flipper Anderson’s NFL record of 336 receiving yards in a game.

The Raiders’ offense is playing fairly well, and we could be in for an exciting second half. Maybe even a record-setting second half.
