Ahmad Bradshaw isn’t the only oft-injured free agent running back getting a look from an AFC South team on Thursday.

While Bradshaw is visiting with the Colts, Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports that the Jaguars will be working out former Cardinals running back Beanie Wells.

Wells had some interest early in free agency and took a physical with the Steelers, but nothing came of it and there haven’t been any reports of interest in his services in quite a while. Wells’ knee has been a red flag for quite some time and the Steelers and others have gone with less risky options for their backfield.

The Jaguars are expecting Maurice Jones-Drew to return to the field in training camp after missing months with a Lisfranc injury in his foot, but could have interest in Wells as a backup plan in case MJD’s rehab hits a snag between now and then. Justin Forsett is slated to be the No. 2 back in Jacksonville with Denard Robinson in a role that still needs to be defined as he makes the transition from quarterback.

Wells won’t turn 25 until August, so there could still be some upside there that the Jaguars can tap into if Wells is healthy. Or perhaps he just knows how to drive on the left side of the road.
