BEARS CUT METCALF

The Chicago Bears released veteran reserve offensive guard Terrence Metcalf today, the team announced, cutting ties with a former third-round draft pick after seven seasons. A former Ole Miss standout, Metcalf played in six games last season. In 84 career games, Metcalf has 25 starts. In 2005, the 6-foot-4, 310-pounder started a career-high 13 games. The Bears have little depth on the interior offensive line.
