The Eagles might be showing the most interest in running back Ezekiel Elliott, but they aren’t the only team spending time with him before the draft.
Elliott is visiting with the Dolphins on Monday and he’ll keep on moving as the week unfolds. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Elliott will visit the Bears on Wednesday.
Elliott won’t have to do much to introduce himself to the team’s running backs coach. The Bears hired Stan Drayton to oversee the position before last season after Drayton spent three years in the same job with Ohio State, where Elliott built the resume that makes him a likely first round pick.
The Bears have 2015 fourth-round pick Jeremy Langford at the top of their running back depth chart after bidding Matt Forte farewell when he hit free agency this offseason. Chicago has the No. 11 pick in the first round, which may put Elliott out of reach without some wheeling and dealing as it is after the Eagles are slated to pick.
