Bengals get tired of waiting on Marvin Jones, put him on IR

The hits keep coming for the Bengals at wide receiver.

Not only has the availability of star A.J. Green become a week-to-week proposition because of his toe injury, now they’re down another one.

The team announced that Marvin Jones was placed on injured reserve.

Jones has been struggling with foot and ankle problems all season, and hasn’t played this season. The lack of progress forced the Bengals to cut bait, especially considering Green’s status.

Jones caught 51 passes with eight touchdowns last year, and would have been a part of a potentially dynamic offense for the Bengals. But that hasn’t quite come together.

They also announced the signing of veteran wideout Greg Little, and waived linebacker Kharri Fort, along with releasing wideout Colin Lockett and adding wide receiver Cobi Hamilton to practice squad.
