Add the Bills to the list of teams planning to use the franchise tag.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, left tackle Cordy Glenn will be restricted by the franchise tag.
Glenn will be eligible for a one-year guaranteed salary of $13.706 million, if he accepts the tender. The two sides can negotiate a long-term deal through July 15.
In the interim, another team can sign Glenn to an offer sheet. If the Bills don’t match, they’ll get a pair of first-round draft picks.
Chances are another team won’t sacrifice two first-round picks for Glenn, a second-round pick in 2012.
