Texans linebacker Brian Cushing was carted to the locker room in Kansas City with what looked like a potentially serious knee injury.

Cushing came on a blitz and was blocked low by Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles, and Cushing went down in obvious pain. Although Charles’s block was legal under NFL rules, it was a hard shot directly at the knees, and the Texans seemed to take exception to it, with multiple Houston players getting in Charles’ face afterward.

Cushing knows what a bad knee injury feels like, having missed most of last season with a torn ACL, and he seemed extremely upset as he was taken off the field. We won’t know the diagnosis until Cushing has an MRI, but this looked bad.
