Released before free agency by the Chargers, Reggie Walker has found new employment in the AFC West.
The Broncos have signed Walker, an inside linebacker, to a one-year deal, the club said Thursday.
The Broncos, like the Chargers, employ a 3-4 base defense, making Walker a logical fit. He will vie to stick as a defensive reserve and special teams contributor in Denver. Walker, 28, notched 12 tackles and a half-sack in 11 games for San Diego in 2014.
A Kansas State product, Walker played four seasons with Arizona (2009-2012) before joining San Diego for the last two seasons.
