The Browns and 49ers surely will win one or more games in 2016. At this point, however, Vegas thinks they won’t.
Via Yahoo Sports, the folks at ESPN.com have compiled the betting lines for the first 16 weeks of the 2016 season, and both the Browns and 49ers are currently underdogs in every game. (Week 17 was omitted because it was deemed to be too speculative; as if any, some, or all of the rest of it isn’t.)
Plenty can, and will, change between now and then. It’s still jarring to think that not one but two NFL teams are regarded so slightly by the gambling community.
If nothing else, the complete lack of confidence could be (and should be) used by coaches in both cities to motivate their players to defy the odds, Leicester City style.
