BROWNS-BENGALS ONE-LINERS

RB Jamal Lewis touched the ball on six of the Browns’ first seven offensive plays. Lewis wanted to get a lot of touches, and he got his wish. Lewis noted afterward that the Browns hadn’t won a game since December. Browns coach Romeo Crennel said he considered benching QB Derek Anderson but, “I decided to give him another chance. He went ahead and took advantage of it and finished on a good note.” Said Browns WR Braylon Edwards of a personal foul penalty, “If I could do that play over, I would hit that guy the same way I hit him. All it was is passion. Personal foul or not, I’d still hit him to this day.” Some observers thought it was more than that the Bengals lost than that the Browns won. S Chinedum Ndukwe got the Bengals’ first interception of the season. Bengals coach Marvin Lewis knew reporters would grill him about the way his team wasted timeouts. Bengals QB Ryan Fitzpatrick did his best under difficult circumstances. The Bengals look like they’re coming unglued.
