After being cut by the New England Patriots this week, linebacker Bo Ruud was awarded today to the Cleveland Browns after making a waiver claim, the team announced. Ruud is a former Patriots sixth-round draft pick from Nebraska. The 6'3", 235-pounder spent his rookie campaign on injured reserve in New England. At Nebraska, Ruud started 33 games and recorded 216 career tackles, 4.5 sacks and 25 tackles for losses with a total of five interceptions. He tied a school record by returning three interceptions for touchdowns. The Browns also cut running back Allen Patrick, a former Baltimore Ravens draft pick from the University of Oklahoma.
