While many wondered if the Broncos were going to make a run at him to cover a possible pass-rush deficit, it was the Cardinals who made the first move on veteran pass-rusher John Abraham.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Abraham finalized the deal with the Cardinals today.

Abraham’s been playing in a 4-3 defense, but he’ll most likely be used as a pass-rusher only, which limits the transition.

He has 122.0 career sacks (more than any active player), and has been consistently productive, with at least 9.5 sacks in five of his last six seasons.
