Chargers keep Brandon Flowers

During Friday’s PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio, Chargers tackle King Dunlap was asked for the first thing he’d do if he were the team’s General Manager. Current G.M. Tom Telesco must have been listening.

Dunlap said that he’d sign re-cornerback Brandon Flowers. Adam Schefter of ESPN says that will happen this week. Per Schefter, it’s a four-year deal with a base value of $36 million.

Last year, Flowers landed in San Diego’s lap after the Chiefs dumped him well after the start of the new league year. He eventually chose the Chargers in part because it gave him a chance to face the Chiefs twice per year.

Now, he’ll face them up to eight more times in the regular-season.

Flowers started 14 games last season for the Chargers, picking up four interceptions along the way.
