Following the DUI arrest of the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium general manager, the team’s liquor license is in danger of a potential suspension, according to Susan Schrock of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. A fine is another possible outcome. Per the report, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission has launched an investigation about whether stadium general manager Jack Hill was overserved liquor at the Cowboys’ new stadium opening. Hill allegedly failed a field sobriety test following a minor accident outside the $1.15 billion stadium. He’s free on a $1,000 bond. “If an employee is intoxicated on a licensed premises, we can cancel or suspend the permit for that violation,” Dallas Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commissioner Captain Charlie Cloud told the Star-Telegram. Because it’s a first offense, the Cowboys could reportedly either face a $300 fine or a suspension of their liquor license for 17 to 25 days. If it happens again, there could be a longer suspension or a cancellation of the permit to sell alcohol, which would obviously cost the Cowboys a considerable amount of revenue at football games and concerts.
