Dan Quinn talks about his transition from coordinator to head coach

Dan Quinn

AP

First-year Falcons coach Dan Quinn learned plenty from Seahawks coach Pete Carroll. One thing Quinn learned is that Pete Carroll likes to play a little more James Brown at practice than Quinn prefers.

That’s one of the things Quinn said during his appearance on Friday’s PFT Live on NBC Sports Radio.

Quinn also talked about his transition to coach, the transition of quarterback Matt Ryan to a new offense, and the extent to which Quinn studied the failures of recent Falcons teams in order to prepare for a new era.
