Dez Bryant: If it’s up to me, I’m playing

Officially, Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. But in his mind, there’s no question that he should be on the field.

“Don’t know yet. We want to see how I feel with this week of practice,” Bryant said. “It feels good being back there with my teammates. Practice has been great. I’m just trying to be smart about it. My confidence stays high. If the decision was left all up to me, you know I’d be playing.”

Although the Cowboys are expected to limit Bryant’s snaps so he doesn’t aggravate the foot injury that has kept him out since Week One, Bryant said he won’t be thinking about protecting his foot when he’s on the field.

“If I play, I’m not thinking about nothing; I’m playing,” Bryant said. “Dez is Dez. I have to remove myself from the situation. If I go out there, I’m not going out there to paint. I’m going out there to play football.”

The Cowboys have lost four straight games for the first time since the last four games of the Wade Phillips era. They need Bryant to go out there and play football if they’re going to snap that losing streak.
