EAGLES-GIANTS ONE-LINERS

RB Brian Westbrook is healthy, and the Eagles are right back in the thick of the NFC wild-card race. “It takes all the stress out of blocking on long-yardage passing and that type of stuff,” Eagles OT Jon Runyan said of running the ball effectively. DE Trent Cole and the rest of the Eagles’ defense got revenge after the Giants ran the ball down their throat earlier this season. TE L.J. Smith finally made an impact in a game this season. Having a couple of field goals blocked didn’t hurt the Eagles. “I don’t know, but it was probably our craziest week and probably our worst performance,” WR Amani Toomer said. “Put two and two together.” The Eagles attacked Giants LB Antonio Pierce, who might have had other things on his mind. QB Eli Manning was more worried about the 21-mph wind than the Plaxico Burress saga. WR Domenik Hixon, Burress’ replacement, dropped a deep ball that would have been an 85-yard touchdown. RB Brandon Jacobs is expected to be OK after he bruised his knee.
