Eagles will conduct second interview with Gus Bradley on Tuesday

Those rumors of Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley being the favorite to become the next Eagles head coach could be moving closer to fruition.

The Eagles have announced that a second interview will be conducted with Bradley on Tuesday.

Bradley interviewed for the first time with the Eagles on Saturday. After Sunday’s loss to the Falcons in the divisional round of the playoffs, Bradley is now free to be interviewed by anyone -- and to be hired.

Bradley also has interviewed with the Chargers.

In Philly, hiring Bradley would represent a significant departure from the past 14 years, when the Eagles were coached by an offensive specialist. It makes us wonder whether the Eagles’ dream for the team is to hire Bradley to be the head coach, and to pair him with former Ravens coach Brian Billick, who interviewed for the coaching job last week, as offensive coordinator.
