It was on NBC Sunday Night Football when Vikings linebacker E.J. Henderson gruesomely broke his femur in Arizona last December.
So it’s only fitting that Henderson returned to the field in the starting lineup on Sunday night, far earlier than anyone would have imagined. Henderson didn’t waste any time making an impact, ducking under 49ers guard Chilo Rachal to trip up running back Anthony Dixon in the backfield for no gain. Henderson wound up with seven tackles on the first drive.
Another Vikings lineup note: Jamarca Sanford started at safety over Tyrell Johnson.
