Ezekiel Elliott says Eagles have shown the most interest

The Eagles reportedly were interested in trading up to No. 1, presumably to get quarterback Carson Wentz. With the No. 1 pick now secured by the Rams -- but with a possibility remaining that Wentz could still be available for a trade up with the Browns at No. 2 -- the Eagles need to make other plans.

Those plans could include standing pat and taking running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Via James Walker of ESPN.com, Walker said that he believes the Eagles are showing the most interest in him.

There’s no guarantee Elliott will be there when the Eagles use the No. 8 pick. Also, if enough teams drafting below the Eagles believe that he will be their pick, the Eagles may have to worry about getting leapfrogged.

One team to worry about could be the Giants at No. 10. G.M. Jerry Reese needs a pick that will make an instant impact, and only quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers provide the kind of clear, bright-line production that can get a fan base excited and keep the executive who picked him employed.
