Geno Smith apologizes for snapping at fan

Geno

To cap a day that included “We want Vick!” chants at MetLife Stadium, Jets quarterback Geno Smith apparently got into a verbal altercation with a fan after the game.

According to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com. Smith apologized for snapping at a fan after the game. Smith said he lost his temper.

He should lose his temper. But at himself. Smith had two more turnovers on Sunday, pushing his season-to-date total to seven, with five interceptions and two lost fumbles.

The questions regarding Smith’s grasp on the starting job undoubtedly will continue, until he gets better -- or until he gets benched for Mike Vick.

UPDATE 5:04 p.m. ET: According to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News, CBS 2 has footage of Smith saying “f--k you” to a fan.
