The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation wants answers about why CBS rejected a proposed Super Bowl commercial from the gay website Mancrunch.com, but accepted a pro-life ad that will feature Florida QB Tim Tebow and his mother.
“CBS has a problem when they do something like this at the same time as they allow an anti-gay group like Focus on the Family to place ads during the Super Bowl,” GLAAD president Jarrett Barrios said. “This network should come clean to the public about what’s going on because this seems to be a homophobic double standard.”
While CBS may not deem Barrios’ inquiry worthy of response, it would be difficult to disagree that the network is operating with a double standard.
The rejected advertisement, posted by Gregg Rosenthal in a previous post that generated over 200 PFT comments, can be viewed here.
