Gronk: You have to take it slow with hamstring injuries

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been severely limited by a hamstring injury this season, with no catches through three games. So when will we see the old Gronk back?

He says he’s getting better, but he’s also being smart about it, as a hamstring injury could easily be aggravated if he tries to do too much, too soon.

“You’ve got to be careful with any injury, but if you research hamstrings, if you know about hamstrings, you definitely have got to be careful,” Gronkowski said. “You have to progress. You can’t just hop right back in and be full-go, 100 percent. I wish it was like that. I can’t wait until I’m freakin’ going crazy out there again. I’m just progressing in it and just feeling better every single day.”

Few people would have guessed the Patriots could start 3-0 without Gronkowski or Tom Brady, but that’s exactly what they’ve done. It has to be scary for the rest of the league to think what the Patriots will look like with a reinstated Brady and a healthy Gronk.
