If you’ve been watching Hard Knocks this year, consider this your spoiler alert before Wednesday’s finale. (And if you haven’t been watching, these posts about the show must be getting annoying. But it’s one of the best shows on television -- any genre -- so give us a break.)
Some of the most interesting players on the show didn’t make the final 53-man roster, but they have accepted a spot on Cincinnati’s practice squad.
Included on the list is undrafted fullback Chris Pressley, a thumper from Wisconsin that seemed like a long shot at the start of camp. Also making the practice squad was lifesaving safety Corey Lynch and Jason Shirley, who converted from the defensive line to guard during training camp.
Not included on the list was seventh-round pick, fullback Fui Vakapuna. The coaches wanted to see more nastiness from Vakapuna, who had superior physical gifts to Pressley.
The rest of Cincinnati’s practice squad goes as follows: wideout Maurice Purify, tight end Darius Hill, running back James Johnson, defensive tackle Clinton McDonald, and linebacker Dan Skuta.
