Harvin Cancels Giants Visit

In a somewhat puzzling development, University of Florida wide receiver Percy Harvin canceled his visit to the New York Giants for unknown reasons, according to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger. It would seem like Harvin, who allegedly tested positive for marijuana at the NFL Scouting Combine according to published reports recently confirmed, would want to take as many visits as possible in an effort to impress potential NFL employers. Or perhaps Harvin just had a scheduling conflict. The Giants also recently worked out Rutgers wide receiver Kenny Britt, who reportedly dropped a few balls during that audition. Meanwhile, the Star-Ledger reports seven more visits for the Giants. Among the players who have met with the NFC East club recently: running back LeSean McCoy (Pitt), linebacker Kenny Mainor (Troy), offensive tackle Xavier Fulton (Illinois), wide receiver Dobson Collins (Gardner-Webb), tight end Carson Butler (Michigan), tight end Travis Beckum (Wisconsin) and linebacker Spencer Adkins (Miami).
